Cloud Studies bring their immersive blend of shoegaze, indie and post-punk goth to the Oakford Social Club Reading for a special free show.
Fronted by Adam Cresswell (formerly of Reading band Saloon whose John Peel sessions album was released last year), the band pair reverb-drenched guitars, driving rhythms and atmospheric visuals to create a widescreen, transportive live experience that sits firmly in today’s underground shoegaze and dreampop landscape.
Support comes from House of Cats, a duo led by UK underground mainstay Alex (Maps of Jupiter, Thee Moths) with his partner Cheryl whose sound channels skeletal post-punk grooves, looping repetition and heavy fuzz into something hypnotic and propulsive.
